Moderator Enforcement Guide
This guide explains the correct procedure for handling players who break server rules. The rules covered include:
-
Griefing
-
Spamming
-
Stealing
-
Server Disruption
-
Spam PvP
-
Hacking or Use of Illegal Mods
The goal of this process is to ensure that all moderators act fairly, consistently, and professionally.
1. Initial Contact
-
Become Visible
Switch out of invisibility so the player can clearly see that a moderator is addressing them. -
Send a Warning Message in Chat
Use a direct and calm message, such as:"Hey Username, why are you doing (Rule Broken)?"
-
Wait for the Player's Response
-
If the player responds, proceed to Section 2.
-
If the player ignores the message, teleport them to the Interrogation Room and follow Section 3.
-
2. If the Player Responds
-
Ask if they have read the rules.
-
Ask if they understand the rules.
-
Ask them to list all server rules.
-
Save their current location so you can return them afterward.
-
Teleport them to the Rules Hall and have them read the rule they violated.
-
Teleport them back to their original location once they confirm understanding.
This process serves as an official warning and confirms they know the rules going forward.
3. If the Player Is Sent to the Interrogation Room
-
Ask them the original question again:
"Why were you doing (Rule Broken)?"
-
If they still do not reply:
-
If they disconnect, wait 5–10 minutes in case they lost connection.
-
If they do not return in that time or continue refusing to respond after returning, issue a ban.
-
-
If the player begins talking again:
-
Ask if they know the rules.
-
Ask them to list the rules.
-
Teleport them to the Rules Hall and make them read the violated rule.
-
After this, they can be returned to regular gameplay unless further issues arise.
4. Monitoring Suspicious Players
If a player continues to act suspiciously or you believe they may break additional rules, you may:
-
Switch to invisible mode
-
Observe them discreetly
-
Gather evidence if necessary
This helps prevent repeated rule violations and creates a safer environment for all players.
5. General Moderator Principles
-
Always remain calm, neutral, and professional.
-
Never argue with players.
-
Stay consistent—apply rules equally to all players.
-
Document severe or repeated offenses when possible.
-
If you are unsure how to handle a situation, ask another moderator or a server Administrator for assistance.
